An overnight Ijen itinerary does not always fit ordinary accommodation schedules. You may arrive in Banyuwangi hours before your pickup, return from the mountain early in the morning, or need to continue to a train, ferry, hotel, or another destination before you can properly freshen up.

Where to shower near Banyuwangi Kota Station

The Shower Room is located at Jl. Stasiun Karangasem No.558, at the same main LockerWangi location as Luggage Storage and the Day Room. Use the LockerWangi Google Maps pin and look for the blue roadside sign.

The location is open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Shower appointments begin at 5:00 AM, with the final slot starting at 9:20 PM. Staff are on site from 4:30 AM to prepare for the first guests.

Showering before an Ijen trip

If you reach Banyuwangi during the day but your Ijen pickup is later, a shower gives you time to change out of travel clothes and prepare a smaller bag for the journey. Book a slot that leaves enough time for food, transport, and the meeting instructions supplied by your tour or driver.

The Shower Room closes before many late-night Ijen departures, so do not leave your shower until pickup time. Use the opening hours above and confirm your separate meeting point before making your plan.

Showering after returning from Ijen

An early return from Ijen can leave several hours before hotel check-in or onward transport. A morning shower can help you clean up, change clothes, and reorganize your luggage before continuing through Banyuwangi.

Shoes must be removed before entering the shower room. If your hands, feet, or equipment have light dirt from the journey, an outdoor tap and washbasin are available for an initial rinse. This helps keep the indoor shower area ready for the next guest.

Shower Prime or Shower Regular?

Both options include the same facilities. The only difference is the appointment time and price.

Prime covers the busiest early-morning period. If your itinerary is flexible, a Regular slot later in the morning or during the day costs less while providing the same shower and supporting facilities.

A clean small towel is available for IDR 8,000. A toothbrush costs IDR 6,000 and toothpaste costs IDR 4,000. You may also bring your own towel and toiletries.

How the 20-minute shower appointment works

Shower slots run every 20 minutes. The appointment starts when you enter the shower room, so prepare your clean clothes and toiletries first. Arriving 5–10 minutes early gives you time to check in and store your belongings.

A maximum of five guests can shower at the same time across five separate rooms. Two rooms are reserved for women, while three can be used by any guest. Larger groups may need to divide across nearby available slots.

There is a maximum three-minute lateness tolerance. To keep the queue moving, a late guest may be moved to the next available slot rather than keeping the original time.

Privacy and changing clothes

Each shower room can be locked while in use, and guests change clothes inside the room. The dressing areas outside are shared and open: two women-only shower rooms connect to a women’s dressing area, while the other rooms use a shared dressing area.

Can you leave luggage while showering?

A locker or luggage rack is complimentary while you use a booked Shower, subject to availability. A lockable locker can hold one cabin-size or medium suitcase and one backpack.
